Door County Treasurer Jay Zahn is reminding taxpayers that the deadline for the second installment of their property taxes is fast approaching. Since July 31st falls on a Sunday this year, payments made on Monday, August 1st will be accepted as timely. The Treasurer’s office is located on the lobby level of the Door County Government Center in Sturgeon Bay & is open from 8am to 4:30PM weekdays. After hour payments can be put in the mail slot located just inside the 5th Avenue entrance. Mailed payments with a July 31st postmark are also considered on time. If a receipt is desired, please enclose a self addressed stamped envelope. Tax payments can also be made at Bank Mutual on Egg Harbor Road in Sturgeon Bay & at North Shore Bank locations in Sturgeon Bay & Sister Bay. The bank locations also offer hours Saturday morning, July 30th.
