A 28 year old Door County man is on the mend at a Green Bay Hospital, recovering from injuries sustained when he fell off the bluff at Door Bluff Headlands near Ellison Bay Tuesday afternoon. Evan Nastos of Ellison Bay landed on a ledge some 200 feet below the bluff & was rescued by emergency personnel who came to his aid by land & water. He was eventually flown to Green Bay by the Eagle III helicopter. Reports indicate that Nastos was conscious & talking at the scene & his injuries were never considered life threatening. According to a report compiled by the Door County Sheriff’s Department, a witness said the Ellison Bay man was “messing around” near the precipice & started sliding toward the edge of the bluff. His attempts to grab onto something failed & he fell backwards over the edge. No word as to the extent of his injuries.
