Door County’s “Outstanding Teen” is now the “Door County Idol”. Lena MacDonald, a junior at Gibraltar high school, was selected as the “Door County Idol” for 2012 by a three person panel in Fish Creek Saturday evening. A week previously, Lena was chosen as the county’s “Outstanding Teen” as part of the Miss Door County competition. Trevor Hietpas, a senior at Sevastopol high school, was the runner up as Saturday’s program before a packed house.
