Door County residents & visitors will have multiple opportunities to catch a local version of 4th of July fireworks at several locations & on different days this week.
Pyrotechnic displays are planned for independence day in Sturgeon Bay, Gills Rock, on Washington Island & at Baileys Harbor. In Egg Harbor, the fireworks will be shot off on Wednesday evening. At the Quietwoods South Campgrounds in southern door, “the rockets red glare” can be seen Friday night. Fish Creek closes out the festivities on Saturday, July 6th, as part of its summer festival.
All of the fireworks will be shot off at about dusk. So, remember to leave early to find a parking spot & take a chair & a jacket just in case it gets chilly.
