Destination Door County CEO Named to Destinations International Committee

Destination Door County CEO Julie Gilbert was recently named a Co-Chair of the Advocacy Committee for Destinations International, the world’s largest resource for destination organizations, convention & visitor bureaus, and tourism boards. This committee is made up of 76 members representing tourist destinations around the globe. The committee’s tasks include recommending partnerships, best practices, and resources to communicate the value and impact of destination organizations to their leadership, stakeholders, and communities. Gilbert says the committee’s 2024 strategic priorities are very similar to what Destination Door County is working on. She goes on to say, “Collaborating with fellow destinations to prioritize initiatives like community alignment, engagement, and destination stewardship helps expand our organization’s perspective and also strengthens our visitor economy.”
