We recently reported on the 35 year-old swimmer at Cave Point County Park who collapsed into the water Saturday and was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office has completed an autopsy, but the results will not be known for 6 weeks or more. At this time, foul play is not suspected, and the preliminary investigation indicates the near drowning to be accidental with medical complications. The swimmer has now been identified as Zachary B. Nessman of Manitowoc. At this time, no further information is being released as the incident remains under investigation.
