DCMM Looks to Add Maritime Tower

The Door County Maritime Museum is making progress in its effort to bring about the construction of a 110 foot observation tower at its facility located on Sturgeon Bay’s west side waterfront. Supporters say the ten story tower, if built, would be a “one of a kind” attraction on the great lakes. Proponents of the maritime tower idea believe that if it brings visitors to the museum, other business in the area will benefit as well. Before all is said & done, the Sturgeon Bay common council will weigh in on the matter.
