The Door County Medical Center will begin administering 3rd doses of Moderna COVID vaccine this next week and are now booking appointments through their online patient portal for those immunocompromised patients who meet the eligibility requirements. Individuals who have received the Pfizer vaccine should contact Door County Public Health to receive their 3rd dose. Those who received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine are not eligible for a 3rd dose at this time. Your 3rd dose must be administered at least 28 days after your vaccination series has been completed. The Fish Creek clinic will be offering 3rd doses this Tuesday from 9:00 am 12:00 noon and from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. You can book an appointment there through the patient portal or by calling 920-868-3511. The Sturgeon Bay clinic will be giving 3rd doses Wednesday from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm. Again, appointments can be make through the patient portal, or by calling the Sturgeon Bay number 920-746-3666. They ask you to bring your vaccination card to your appointment, otherwise your 3rd dose may be delayed. At this time, 3rd dose booster vaccinations for the general population are not yet being offered through the Door County Medical Center, however they will inform the public when those appointments are available.
