The Door Community Auditorium recently announced the public phase of its Encore Fundraising Campaign, to help fund the construction of a new multi-purpose space directly across Highway 42 from it’s Fish Creek location. The DCA has already purchased the property and demolished the building that previously stood there. Temporarily being called “The Annex,” the new building on this site will house a right-sized space for community events, salon-style or cabaret concerts, lectures, chamber music, a reception hall, and more. It will also have the ability to offer food and beverages along with its events, including the possibility of beer and wine service. It will also be able to offer pre-show and post-show social events for DCA shows across the street.
The groundbreaking for this new structure is scheduled for later this year, and they are shooting for an opening date in the fall of 2025. For more information on the Encore Fundraising Campaign, and to donate, you can go to dcauditorium.org.
