The Door County Community Foundation announced Friday that it has reached a significant milestone. For the first time in its history, the community foundation’s assets are $10,184,874. As a basis for comparison, the foundation’s assets were closer to $4.1 million in January of 2009. At a time when the foundation was growing by more than six million dollars, the collection of funds was also giving away just over $2.6 million in grants to non-profits & scholarships to students. The Door County Community Foundation is comprised of nearly 200 individual charitable funds, each established for a different purpose. Bret Bicoy is its president & CEO.
