DC Candy Life is Sweet Campaign

The spirit of the holiday season is alive & well at Door County Candy in Sturgeon Bay where owner Terry Ullmann is in the midst of the second year of the charitable choice campaign he calls, “Life is Sweet”. Terry created the campaign to support local non-profit organizations in 2012 in recognition of his store’s 16th anniversary. He initially intended to donate $1,000 as long as others made $100 donations. As it turned out, Ullmann ended up providing matching funds of $1,600 dollars last year. He says he’s well on his way to the goal of $3,200 in 2013…[audio:http://wdor.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/N1847.mp3|titles=Terry Ullmann]

Terry says would-be donors need only give $100 to a local non-profit, then take a photo of themselves or of something, somewhere in Door County, with the slogan “Life is Sweet”, in the picture. Next, post, like & share the image with Door County Candy on the store’s facebook page. Participants are also asked to submit a photocopy of the check in person, by mail or email to Door County Candy for verification. The local non-profit will be added to the list of his donations this year.
