The Drug Abuse Resistance Education program is coming to an end for this year, at three Door County school districts. Commonly referred to as DARE, the program is taught by Door County Sheriff’s Department Juvenile Investigator Chris Neuville. Neuville, who is also President of the Wisconsin Dare Officers Association, says the classes are as interesting for him as they are for the students…
Neuville says the program, which was started in 1983, is more than just a tutorial on drug and alcohol use and abuse…
Neuville has already had a DARE graduation on Washington Island. Similar events are planned for Saint John Bosco and Southern Door schools later this month.
