Cold Weather Causes Water Main Break in Sturgeon Bay

The cold temperatures were to blame for a water main break which occurred on Sturgeon Bay’s Egg Harbor Road, just northeast of 14th Avenue. Sturgeon Bay Utilities General Manager Jim Stawicki reports they were notified of the break late Sunday evening and began repairs Monday morning. Stawicki explains the break and the repairs…

The repairs were completed and all lanes of Egg Harbor Road were re-opened to traffic, but as Stawicki tells us, the final repairs for that section of roadway will have to wait until spring…

Stawicki says Sturgeon Bay Utilities customers in that area may have experienced low water pressure for a short while Monday morning, but there was no loss of water service during the incident.
