The annual Candlelight Walk of the Friends of Whitefish Dunes State Park is set for 7:30PM to 9:30PM Saturday. The event is free, but a park sticker is required to enter the park. While a portion of the trail is accessible, no dogs will be allowed on the beach segment. From 4PM to 7PM, author & storyteller Gayle Soucek & artist Carol Higgins of Door County Stencil Company will be on hand. The Door Peninsula Astronomical Society will be assisting those who’d like to enjoy the wonders of the night-time sky. You can take a self-guided tour of the designated trail, & use the luminaries to discover the forest & beach areas. Whitefish Dunes State Park is located at 3275 Clark Lake Road, in the Town of Sevastopol.
