Bridge Approach Lights Will Only Flash Upon Bridge Opening

The flashing yellow lights on the approaches to the Bayview Bridge in Sturgeon Bay won’t be flashing quite so much in the future. The lights have been operating around the clock ever since the bridge was opened to traffic again in June, following a three month rehabilitation project. However, the department of transportation was asked to change the way the lights operate. Apparently, some drivers were unsure what the flashing lights meant. Now the lights will flash only in the event of a bridge opening. An electrician took care of the changeover Thursday.
