Bookkeeper Steals Thousands from Business

A 35 year old Sturgeon Bay area woman was placed on 30 years probation & sentenced to a year in jail in Door County circuit court Friday on multiple charges of theft from a business setting. Jaime Tank was accused of stealing more than $337,000 from a business based in northern Door County while she acted as its bookkeeper during a period running from January of 2007 through July of last year. Tank, who originally faced 36 felony charges, pleaded no contest to 11 counts. As part of her sentence, she must also make restitution of a minimum of $500 per month, maintain full employment, seek counseling & budget counseling & avoid contact with the theft victim.
