When two vehicles have a fender bender accident, there are any number of body shops to choose from that do high quality work. For large vessels on the water, the pickings are slim. Luckily, one of the finest ship repair facilities in the Midwest is located in Sturgeon Bay. That’s good news for the owners of the Cason Calloway, which collided with another familiar vessel, the Indiana Harbor, Saturday morning. It’s unclear what caused the collision. The Indiana Harbor was moored to a dock at the time, having arrived at the Twin Ports for arepair project. Now more repairs will be needed on the 1,000 footer. The Calloway, at 767 feet in length, is expected to spend about ten days at Bay Shipbuilding in Sturgeon Bay while repairs are affected.
