Bies says there are a number of major legislative efforts that were approved during his time in Madison including the acquisition of funding to build a new bridge & rehabilitate another in Sturgeon Bay, securing funds for a dredging project on Washington Island, & seeing to it that some funds were put in the budget to help “zero aid” districts.
