During its regular meeting Tuesday evening, the Sturgeon Bay City Council accepted bids totaling $857,888.09 for road work on North 3rd Avenue, from Iowa to Florida Street, & North 14th Avenue, from Michigan Street to a point 900 feet northerly. Peter’s Concrete of Green Bay was the low bidder. Alderman Bob Schlicht noted that a business on North 14th had asked that the project be done later in the season. In his summary on the project, Depies noted that the cost will be five to six percent more than construction work done last year.
