Dan Austad has retained his position as Door County Board Chairman. Austad held sway in secret balloting during the county board’s meeting Tuesday morning. David Lienau returns as vice-chairman of the county board. There was only one change in voting for the powerful county highway committee. Roy Englebert was elected to an at-large position on the committee, replacing Cletus Fontaine who did not seek re-election. The other at-large committee-member is Leo Zipperer. Representing the northern part of the county on the highway committee is Joel Gunnlauggson, the Sturgeon Bay representative is Ken Fisher & John Neinas represents Door County’s southern section. Neinas is also chairman of the highway committee.
