For the second time this week, an electrical problem shut down traffic to Sturgeon Bay’s Michigan Street bridge. Barricades were put up shortly after 7AM Friday after a circuit breaker tripped & the two leaves of the span were left in the up position. On Wednesday, an electrical problem led to an uncooperative gate. The problem was compounded by a computer that took its time being reprogrammed, causing the 80 year old downtown bridge to close for around six hours. This time around, the Michigan Street bridge was down for about an hour.
