Accident Leaves Two Injured Sunday Evening

The Door County Sheriff’s Department has released the report of a traffic accident in the Town of Sevastopol Sunday evening that left two people injured, one seriously. Twenty four year old Amber Meverden of Green Bay sustained significant leg injuries when the car she was a passenger in slammed into a manure tanker being pulled by a tractor on Highway 42, near Walker road. The driver of the car, 20-year old Kiran White of Sturgeon Bay, was injured in the crash, but did not require medical transport. The driver of the tractor, 28-year old Michael Polich of the Town of Sevastopol, escaped injury. The accident report indicates that the vehicle driven by White was northbound on Highway 42 & ran into the rear of the manure tanker & tractor which was stopped on the highway, as Polich waited to make a left turn.
