Shortly after 12:00 Noon Sunday, 2 cars collided at the intersection of Highway 42 and Townline Road, a short ways south of Carlsville. An 81 year-old Sturgeon Bay woman was southbound on Highway 42 in her Chevrolet Impala and she attempted to make a left-hand turn onto Townline Road. Just then, a 61 year-old Egg Harbor woman was northbound on Highway 42 in her Scion XD when the Impala turned directly into her path and both vehicles collided. The Egg Harbor woman and her 2 passengers all had suspected or possible injuries. All 3 of them received EMS ground transport to the Door County Medical Center. The Sturgeon Bay woman and her 1 passenger both had suspected serious injuries. She received EMS air transport to St. Vincent’s hospital in Green Bay, while her passenger was taken by ambulance to the Door County Medical Center. Both vehicles required towing, and the Sturgeon Bay woman was given a citation for failure to yield while making a left turn. Traffic on Highway 42 was limited to one lane during the response for about 90 minutes.
