The Sturgeon Bay Police Department took an 11-year old boy into custody Sunday evening in connection with a brush fire at 1449 Iowa Place. The boy was seen running from a pile of brush shortly before the fire got out of hand. A lighter was recovered at the scene. The Sturgeon Bay Fire Department was paged out at 5:52PM & a crew used about 500 gallons of water to put out the blaze in debris located near two fallen trees. The firefighters cleared the scene at 6:25PM. The young suspect reportedly admitted to starting the fire. His case was turned over to juvenile authorities.
