Wind Chill Advisory

The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Advisory for Door, Kewaunee, Manitowoc, Brown, Oconto and Manitowoc Counties until 12 PM Friday (2/1/13).  An arctic air mass has settled over the area.  The cold air will combine with moderate west to northwest winds to drop wind chill indices tp 25 to 30 below zero this morning.

* Wind chill values from 25 to 30 below zero are expected tonight and tomorrow morning.

* Wind chill values this low can cause frostbite in as little as 30 minutes.

* A wind chill advisory means that very cold air and winds will generate low wind chills.  This will result in frostbite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken.  If heading outdoors, make sure to wear a hat and gloves.
