Packers Second String Struggles

The Green Bay Packers dropped their 2012 preseason home opener as they lost to the Celveland Browns Thursday night, 35-10.  As expected, Packers backup quarterback Graham Harrell received the majority of the playing time.  Harrell struggled completing 12 of 24 passes for 100 yards and two interceptions for a passer rating of 26.4.  Harrell was also flagged for intentional grounding in the endzone which resulted in a safety…

In his post game press conference, Packers head coach Mike McCarthy focused on Harrell’s positives…

On their first series, the Packers first team offense cashed in a recovered fumble.  Aaron Rodgers (6-11, 59 yards) tossed a 20-yard touchdown pass to receiver Jordy Nelson.  For the most part, Rodgers liked what he saw out of the starters…

Packers corner Tramon Williams did not sound as positive as his starting quarterback…

The Packers are now 0 and 2.  They are at Cincinnati in week three of the NFL preseason.  That game will be played Thursday, August 23rd.
