Packers Find Their Safety In Round One

With their first round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the Green Bay Packers hope they upgraded a safety position which recorded zero interceptions the past season.  The Packers used the 21st overall selection on Alabama free safety Ha’sean “Ha Ha” Clinton-Dix.  For the Rolling Tide in 2013, Clinton-Dix (6’1, 208) recorded 52 tackles, two interceptions and broke up four passes and received first-team All-American honors from the Football Writers Association and Sporting News.  Packers General Manager Ted Thompson talked about the selection…

Clinton-Dix will wear uniform number 21.  Barring a trade the Packers will have the 21st (53rd overall) pick in round number two and the 21st (85th overall) and 34th pick (98th overall) in the third round, both of which will take place Friday night.

Lions – 10th – Eric Ebron, TE, North Carolina
Bears – 14th – Kyle Fuller, CB, Virginia Tech
Vikings – 32nd – Teddy Bridgewater, QB, Louisville
