One Last Chance For Some To Impress

The Green Bay Packers (1-2) will host the Kansas City Chiefs (1-2) this evening in both team’s preseason finale.  The Packers started to trim their roster Monday by putting six players on injured reserve, two on the physically unable to perform list and the team released defensive end Jarius Wynn and fullback Jon Hoese.  By 8 PM Friday, the team must have its 53-man roster in to the NFL, which means 22 more moves need to be made.  General manager Ted Thompson said tonight’s game is important to those players fighting for a spot on the roster…

One of those players fighting for a roster spot is WR Diondre Borel.  He is not thinking about Friday’s roster reduction…

The starters are only expecting to play a handful of snaps this evening, meaning that there will be plenty of opportunities for those on the bubble.  RB Marc Tyler expects that he and RB Brandon Saine will be on the field quite a bit…

Head coach Mike McCarthy has this message for Borel, Tyler and the rest of the players on the bubble…

Tonight’s game at Lambeau Field between the Packers and Chiefs begins at 6 PM.
