Winter Weather Advisory In Effect

The National Weather Service in Green Bay has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Door County until 6pm Sunday.

The precipitation will become steadier and heavier during the afternoon, when the precipitation is expected to fall primarily as freezing rain.

Although air temperatures will be warming to a couple degrees above freezing, ground temperatures will be much slower to warm after the recent cold snap. That will result in only minor icing of trees and power lines, but much more widespread icing of untreated roadways, sidewalks, and parking lots.

The precipitation should taper to drizzle during the late afternoon or early evening.
