The National Weather Service in Green Bay has issued a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY, which will be in effect from 2pm Sunday until 8am Monday, for Door County.
Although light snow showers will develop by late Sunday morning, steadier snow is expected to arrive in the early to mid afternoon, then continue Sunday night before diminishing early Monday.
The heaviest snowfall rates should occur between 9pm Sunday and 6am Monday.
Total snow accumulations of 3 – 5 inches are expected, with locally higher amounts possible.
Gusty south winds will cause some blowing and drifting snow Sunday afternoon and evening.
Roads will become snow covered and slippery and visibilities will be greatly reduced at times, so locally hazardous travel conditions are anticipated.
