Fighting for a roster spot, receiver Tori Gurley had a good night.  He caught two passes for 69 yards, including a 54-yard reception which set up Alex Green’s 2-yard touchdown run.  Gurley said his performance would allow him to sleep easy the night before final cuts…

The Packers have to have their 53-man, regular season roster in to the NFL offices by 8 PM Friday.  The Packers will open the regular season by hosting the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, September 9th.

Thursday’s Stats:
Receiver Jarrett Boykin caught five passes for 82 yards.  He hauled in a 12-yard touchdown pass from Harrell.

Running back Alex Green scored two touchdowns (2-yard run and 17-yard reception).

Corner Sam Shields intercepted a Brady Quinn pass in the endzone early in the second quarter.

Linebackers Terrell Manning and Erik Walden and defensive tackle Mike Daniels all recorded sacks.

Packers first team offense played the first two series and gained 17 yards while failing to pick up a first down.  Aaron Rodgers completed 1 of 2 passes for five yards.
