Algoma opened the WIAA Girls Division 4 Regional with a 56-24 win over Manitowoc Lutheran on Friday Night in Algoma. The Wolves closed the first quarter with a 20-0 run and led 21-4 at the quarter break and 34-15 at halftime. Meg Ryan hit 3 three pointers and scored a team high 14 points while Anna Dier added 12 for Algoma (21-2). Lindsay Englebrecht scored 15 points to lead the Lancers (14-9). Algoma will host Brillion, a 49-40 winner over Reedsville, in the Regional Championship game on Saturday Night.
