Baleigh Delorit of Algoma was selected as the girls Packerland Conference player of the year.  Delorit helped the Wolves to their 8th straight league championship. Brusky and Neubauer Share POY Honors


Logan Brusky of Kewaunee and Southern Door’s Mitchel Neubauer were selected as the co-players of the year in the Packerland Conference.  Brusky led the league in scoring while Neubauer helped the Eagles to their first league championship since 2008. Effective today (March 9), the Northern Section and the Southeast Section of the Door County Snowmobile Trails are now closed.  Central and Southwest Sections were already closed. Further details can be found online at http://map.co.door.wi.us/parks

Brillion Pulls Away From Wolves


Brillion beat Algoma, 57-38, in a WIAA boys Division 4 regional final at Brillion on Saturday Night.  The Lions (20-4) led 22-16 at the half and went on a 13-1 run to start the second half to pull away.  Eliot Prokash led the Wolves (19-5) with 10 points.  Tyler Lemke scored 17 and Jacob Mathiebe added 11 for Brillion. Wolves in Sectional Final


The Algoma girls basketball team will play Marathon at 1:00 in Antigo on Saturday afternoon with the winner advancing to the WIAA Girls State Basketball championships at the Resch Center in Green Bay.  The Wolves (20-4) are coming off of a thrilling 36-33 win over Shiocton on Thursday Night while the Red Raiders (24-1) cruised past Crandon 63-24.  Algoma has advanced to the State Tournament … Continue reading

Wolves Advance to Regional Final


Algoma beat Manitowoc Lutheran, 67-48, in a WIAA boys Division 4 Regional Semi-final on Friday Night.  The Wolves (19-4) led 30-24 at the half but pulled away with a 28-12 third quarter.  Algoma was led by Andrew Gorz with 17 points while Austen Dart and Devin Kostichka added 12 each.  Brillion beat Gibraltar 74-29 in the other half of the bracket meaning the Wolves play … Continue reading
