Clippers Win in OT


The Sturgeon Bay boys basketball team beat Shawano, 57-55,  in overtime on Saturday Night.  Sophomore Carson Talbert hit a pair of free throws in the final seconds to secure the win for the Clippers.  Connor Gajda led Sturgeon Bay with 11 points, Talbert added 10 while Edmon Kurshner and Jared Van Bramer chipped in with 9 each and Michael Rose 8. Bertand, Pawelski Win at Cedar Grove


Michael Bertrand and River Pawelski won their respective weight classes at the Cedar Grove-Belgium Rocket Scramble on Saturday.  Tory Jandrin finished in second place as the Eagles were 7th overall.  Luxemburg-Casco’s Dalton Smerchek won his weight class while Cameron Lemmons and Devon Vandenbush finished second at the Brawl in the Falls in Oconto Falls. Door County Triathlon Gives Back to Community


It’s well known that the Door County Triathlon is one of the busiest events on the peninsula, growing in popularity every year. The athletic competition, with its sprint race, kids triathlon for children 6 to 14 and half iron race, will be held July 15th and 16th at Frank Murphy Park near Egg Harbor.
