Two boys basketball teams looking for their first win of the 2012-2013 season squared off Thursday night on 93.9 FM WDOR and wdor.com.  Kewaunee got that victory as they beat Sevastopol, 54-46.  With the game tied at 25 at halftime, the Storm (1-1 Packerland / 1-3 overall) outscored the Pioneers (0-3 Packerland / 0-4 overall) 14-10 in the third quarter and 15-11 in the fourth.  It was a typical Kewaunee – Sevastopol game.  That’s according to the Storm’s head coach Adam Murphy…

Kewaunee’s Logan Brusky hit five three pointers and finished with a game-high 28 points.  The sophomore scored eight of his team’s 14 points in the third quarter and 11 of the Storm’s 15 in the fourth.  According to Coach Murphy, Brusky does not shy away from taking the big shot…

The Pioneers Cody Giesseman scored eight points, 12 points below his season average.  Sevastopol head coach Phil Symons tipped his cap to Reggie Nimmer (10 points) and the rest of the Kewaunee defense…

Bryce Birmingham led Sevastopol with 12 points, while Drew Tanck and Wes Zielke each added 11.
