Injury Bug Bites Wolves Again

For the second year in a row, the Algoma girls basketball team has lost a starter to injury.  Junior forward Kennedy Blahnik suffered a PCL injury in the January 4th game against Gibraltar and is expected to miss the next 6-8 weeks.  Coach Mark Zastrow on how the injury happened…[audio:http://www.wdor.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/zug1.mp3|titles=Mark Zastow- Kennedy Blahnik injured.]

Zastrow said that Kathy Bluett has moved into the starting lineup and that freshman Anna Dier and Baleigh Delorit are expected to see additional minutes.  The Wolves are currently (10-1) are ranked #1 in the lastest WisSports.net/WBCA Division 4 coaches poll.
