Clippers Beat Red Devils In Season Opener

The Sturgeon Bay boys basketball team rallied from an early eight point deficit to win at Green Bay East Friday night, 57-47.  Down 15-7 after the first quarter, the Clippers (1-0) outscored the Red Devils (0-1) by eight in the second to tie the game at 21 at the half.  A back-and-forth third quarter ended with both teams tied at 38 and then Sturgeon Bay pulled away in the fourth quarter for the season opening win. Nate Abrahamson scored ten points for the Clippers, while Riley Cordier added eight and Joey Sheehy chipped in seven.  Sturgeon Bay will open Packerland Conference play Tuesday night at Kewaunee.
