Algoma beat Colfax 46-30 for the WIAA Division 4 State Championship on Saturday at the Resch Center in Green Bay.  The Vikings led 13-11 after the first quarter and had the Wolves battling foul problems for most of the half.  The Wolves were down 19-17 but regained the lead on a Baleigh Delorit three pointer with 1:21 left in the half and took the lead for good on a Leah Blazkovec rebound basket with :35 seconds to play in the first half.  Algoma then turned to their defense- holding Colfax to just 10 points in the second half.  The Wolves were led by Kennedy Blahnik with 17 points and 9 rebounds.  Baleigh Delorit added 9 points, Taylor Schmidt 7 points and 4 steals and Meg Ryan 6 points and 4 assists.  Braana Steen scored 12 points to lead Colfax.  The Wolves won all 6 postseason games by 15 or more points.  It’s the first State Championship for Algoma since they beat Fall Creek in 1986.
