A tradition going back more than 30 years returns tonight (Friday) when the Thresheree begins its three-day run on the club grounds near Valmy. The tribute to farmers & farming practices of the past got its start in 1983. It has become a popular attraction that many people look forward to every year. The event kicks off with the band Centerline, performing from 7PM to 11PM, gates open at 6PM. An investment of $8 provides entry all weekend & they’ll toss in a souvenir button. Children 12 & under get in for free. Raffle tickets will be sold, there will food & refreshments, & entertainment for the whole family at the 2013 Valmy Thresheree through Sunday at 5005 Country View Road, nine miles north of Sturgeon Bay, between Whitefish Bay Road & Clarks Lake Road. The 31st annual event is sponsored by the Northeastern Wisconsin Antique Power Association.
