Potawatomi Park Tower Remains Closed

The 75-foot tower at Potawatomi State Park near Sturgeon Bay remains closed to visitors. The popular tower with its observation deck was shut down in July after a crack was found in one of its support logs. Park Superintendent Don McKinnon says getting a log of that size and girth ready in a short amount of time has not been easy…

McKinnon says the tower has been an iconic symbol of the state park for about 80 years…

McKinnon talked about the tower at Potawatomi State Park and other matters during the recent airing of the Door County Outdoor program on WDOR.
