Door County Sheriff Sergeant Steve Delarwelle followed up on a convincing primary victory with a solid general election win to become the next Door County Sheriff. Delarwelle, the night-time Patrol Sergeant, picked up 8,511 votes to 6,422 votes for Jail Lieutenant Tammy Sternard. The Maple/Oregon Street Bridge in Sturgeon Bay will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic from 8:30AM to 2:30PM on Wednesday. The closure is needed in order for a crew to do some updating and reprogramming of the control panels. The bridge will be opened as soon as the work is completed. During the project, traffic will be routed to the Michigan Street Bridge.
