Apparently, more work is needed on the Bayview Bridge in Sturgeon Bay. After having been on the bridge this week, maintenance crews will be back Monday and Tuesday, working between 9AM and 3PM. Large Portion of Bjorklunden Under Land Trust Protection


Nearly 70% of the Bjorklunden complex near Baileys Harbor, administered by Lawrence University, has been placed under the protection of the Door County Land Trust by way of a land easement agreement. Algoma has been named as the safest place to live in Wisconsin, on a list put together by Alarm System Reviews. Information from the FBI’s annual uniform crime report was used to create the list. SBFD to Get New Aerial Fire Truck


The Sturgeon Bay Fire Department was given the go-ahead to acquire a new aerial truck during the Tuesday meeting of the city council. The vehicle will be purchased from Ferrara Fire Apparatus of Holden, Louisiana at a cost not to exceed $960,000. The vehicle replaces the 1987 Pierce 105 foot aerial acquired in 1987.
