DCEDC Names Frostman as New Executive Director

SBFD to Get New Aerial Fire Truck


The Sturgeon Bay Fire Department was given the go-ahead to acquire a new aerial truck during the Tuesday meeting of the city council. The vehicle will be purchased from Ferrara Fire Apparatus of Holden, Louisiana at a cost not to exceed $960,000. The vehicle replaces the 1987 Pierce 105 foot aerial acquired in 1987. Door County Budget Approved


Door County has a new budget for 2017. County board supervisors Tuesday approved the $83.6 million budget which features revenues of just under $55,317,000 and a tax levy of $28,311,758. The tax rate, for county purposes, is $4.06 per $1,000 of equalized valuation. Bayview Bridge Maintenance Wednesday & Thursday

Maintenance crews will be working on the Bayview Bridge in Sturgeon Bay Wednesday and Thursday of this week from 9AM to 3PM. Motorists may encounter flagging operations in the southbound lanes of Highway 42/57 during the maintenance project. All maintenance operations are weather dependent. Drivers are urged to slow down and be mindful of workers in close proximity to the highway.
