Michigan Street Bridge Open To Lighter Traffic

The Wisconsin D.O.T. has announced that the Michigan Street Bridge is now open to car traffic under 20 tons until a full inspection can be performed this week. Vehicles more than 20 tons must use the Maple/Oregon Street Bridge. A detour is posted. A small shed and the trailer it was on apparently wandered away from from its location at the offices of Habitat for Humanity of Door County in Sturgeon Bay. According to the Sturgeon Bay Police Department, the shed disappeared from the Habitat lot off North 14th Avenue on April 8th. Towns Approve BUG Fire Department Upgrade


A $2.8 million project to upgrade facilities for the Brussels-Union-Gardner Fire Department will move forward as a result of voting at annual meetings in the three towns Tuesday. A majority of voters in the fire department’s coverage area approved the recommended upgrades as part of an advisory referendum on April 5th. Recycling in Baileys Harbor Moves Back to Park for Summer


Starting this Saturday(April 23) the recycling program for the Town of Baileys Harbor is returning the the Baileys Harbor Recreational Park for the summer.
