Traffic Signal Near Sturgeon Bay Walmart Reactivated


The traffic signals at Walmart’s Egg Harbor Road entrance in Sturgeon Bay are fully operational. The wiring was reconnected and the control box reprogrammed by the contractor hired by the local retailer Tuesday. City Engineer Chad Shefchik says the traffic signals, as programmed, will keep green lights on Egg Harbor Road traffic unless a vehicle activates sensors when leaving Walmart. Nearly 70% of the Bjorklunden complex near Baileys Harbor, administered by Lawrence University, has been placed under the protection of the Door County Land Trust by way of a land easement agreement.
