Fire & Ice in Sturgeon Bay This Weekend

The Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center is getting ready for its first event of the new year, Fire & Ice, Friday through Sunday, at various venues throughout the city. The visitor center’s Amy Demeter says 20 blocks of ice will be placed at several locations…
The competitive carving starts at 9AM Saturday & is expected to be completed & ready for judging at 2PM. Winners will receive awards for their efforts. A special peoples choice award will also be handed out. Demeter says fire & ice is a fun activity, but there is another reason to put it on every year…
Additional activities for the fire & ice weekend include the annual dinner dance & silent auction on Saturday night at Stone Harbor Resort. The festive evening will include a fabulous meal, followed by fiery hot music for dancing. For information on fire & ice snow & ice carving & the fire & ice dinner dance, contact the Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center at (920)-743-6246 or visit www.sturgeonbay.net.
