Fire Chief Warns of Fireworks Dangers

With the 4th of July just a few days away, area fire departments are reminding residents that fireworks that leave the ground are illegal. Sturgeon Bay Fire Chief Tim Herlache says most fireworks are dangerous because of their unpredictable nature. Once they begin their trip, you’re never certain where they will land. Chief Herlache says even legal fireworks can be dangerous & a fire hazard. He suggests keeping a bucket of water & a fire hose nearby whenever fireworks are ignited.
