The Door/Kewaunee Business & Education Partnership will soon embark on its 8th annual high school home construction project. The 1,500 square foot house will be built in Sturgeon Bay. The program is designed to grow the local construction & manufacturing industries skilled workforce while providing real-world workplace learning experiences for area youth. Students representing the four mainland Door County school districts will participate in the joint collaboration with the Door County Home Builders Association & Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. Upon successful completion of the home, students will earn 16 credits toward NWTC’s Structural Systems degree program.
