The competition to be the Green Bay Packers backup quarterback is still in progress at training camp. Vince Young, Graham Harrell and B.J. Packers Final Three Draft Picks For 2013

The Green Bay Packers used the first of three seventh round picks on a receiver as they took Grand Valley State’s Charles Johnson (6-2, 215 pounds) with the 216th overall pick.  Johnson caught 72 passes for 1,199 yards and 16 touchdowns in 2012.  In two seasons at the division 2 school he had 128 receptions for 2,229 yards and 31 touchdowns. Packers Land Linebacker In Round Six

The Green Bay Packers used their lone pick in the sixth round of the NFL Draft (193rd overall) on Illinois State linebacker, Nate Palmer (6’3, 240 pounds).  In 2012, Palmer recorded 71 tackles and seven and a half sacks.  He had 15 total tackles behind the line of scrimmage and 27 quarterback hurries.  Palmer, who started 13 games at defensive end, was named second-team All-Missouri Valley. … Continue reading
