Husby Honored by WBCA

Sturgeon Bay Legion Manager George Husby was honored at the annual Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association Clinic in February. Braves Shutout Brewers

DC Outdoors/ Fisheries Biologist Tammy Paoli

Last Saturday on Door County Outdoors we were joined by Fisheries Biologist Tammy Paoli from the Peshtigo office of the Wisconsin DNR.  Paoli told us that their Fall index shocking surveys show that 2013 was a record year class for walleyes, even exceeding the record 2003 year class. Braves beat Brewers

Atlanta beat Milwaukee 5-2 on Tuesday Night at Miller Park.  Carlos Gomez homered and scored twice for the Brewers while Aramis Ramirez and Jonathon Lucroy had 2 hits.  Kyle Lohse took the loss as the Braves hit three home runs.  The same two teams play the series finale on Wednesday with our coverage beginning at 11:35 on 93.9FM WDOR.

Brewers Win on Opening Day

The Brewers beat Atlanta 2-0 on opening day in Milwaukee.  Yovanni Gallardo pitched six scoreless innings for the win while Brandon Kintzler, Will Smith and Francisco Rodriquez (Save) pitched a scoreless inning.  Aramis Ramirez had a 2-run double in the 4th that drove in Jean Segura and Ryan Braun.  Ramirez, Scooter Gennett and Jonathon Lucroy had 2 hits each.  It was the first shutout win for … Continue reading

Snowmobile Trails Closed

The two remaining zones (north of Sturgeon Bay) of the Door County Snowmobile Trail System will be closing after today.  The two southern zones have been closed already (since March 20th), so with the two northern zones closing effective tomorrow (April 1st) all of the Door County Snowmobile Trail System will be now closed for the 2013-14 season.

Badgers Headed to the Final Four

Wisconsin punched their ticket to the Final Four with a 64-63 overtime win over Arizona on Saturday Night.  Frank Kaminsky scored 28 points and grabbed 11 rebounds and was named the Most Outstanding Player of the West Regional.  The Badgers will play Kentucky on Saturday Night in the National Semi-Finals in North Texas.  The Wildcats beat Michigan 75-72 on Sunday.  We’ll have Wisconsin vs Kentucky … Continue reading

Badgers into the Elite Eight
