Week Six In The DCL

Sister Bay has a two game lead in the Door County League after Sunday’s home win over Kolberg.  Second place in the league standings also cleared up a bit with West Jacksonport and Institute picking up wins. Sister Bay Still Unbeaten After Five Weeks

Algoma’s Season Comes To An End

Finnel Is Wisconsin’s Top Finisher In Boston

Southern Door graduate Brian Finnel was Wisconsin’s top finisher in Monday’s Boston Marathon.  Finnel finished 57th with a time of two hours, 26 minutes and 27 seconds.  Finnel is a seventh grade science teacher in Madison.  He was a distance runner at both Southern Door and the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point. Stutting To Leave Sturgeon Bay School District

Sturgeon Bay School District  Superintendent Joe Stutting will be leaving that post at the end of the current school year to take the same position with an Iowa school district.  Stutting told WDOR that he has accepted an offer to become the new superintendent of the North Scott School District in Eldridge, Iowa.  Stutting will start his new job in July.
