Sister Bay Still Unbeaten After Five Weeks

Algoma’s Season Comes To An End

Sister Bay remains undefeated in the Door County League after four weeks while Kolberg and West Jacksonports are tied for second.  Egg Harbor and Institute are both at .500.  Maplewood and Washington Island each have a win in four games and Baileys Harbor is the lone winless team. The 2014 Door County League season opened Sunday and all four home teams picked up wins. Sister Bay beat West Jacksonport, 8-2.  The Bays scored twice in the first inning and never trailed. Packers Day Two Picks

With their second round pick (53rd overall)in the 2014 NFL Draft, the Green Bay Packers took Fresno State receiver Davante Adams (6’0, 212). Packers Find Their Safety In Round One

Finnel Is Wisconsin’s Top Finisher In Boston

Southern Door graduate Brian Finnel was Wisconsin’s top finisher in Monday’s Boston Marathon.  Finnel finished 57th with a time of two hours, 26 minutes and 27 seconds.  Finnel is a seventh grade science teacher in Madison.  He was a distance runner at both Southern Door and the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point.
