Babe Ruth Registration Deadline Today
The final deadline for registration for the Sturgeon Bay Babe Ruth Baseball League is today at 5pm at Appliances Plus (3rd & Oregon) in Sturgeon Bay. The Babe Ruth League is for Door County boys ages 13-15 as of April 30th of this year. Late registrations will not be accepted. Call 743-6322 with any questions.

Clippers Beat Oconto
The Sturgeon Bay baseball team beat Oconto 6-4 at Memorial Field on Thursday. Wautier Named First Team WIAC
Courtney Wautier of UW-Oshkosh has been named to the 2013 WIAC softball team as selected by the conference’s head coaches. Wautier, from Southern Door, topped the conference with 17 wins and 106 strikeouts, while her 1.70 ERA ranked second. Wautier made 18 starts and tossed 15 complete games and threw a no-hitter against SUNY-Brockport. Wautier ends her career with 395 strikeouts, which ranks 12th in WIAC history. … Continue reading

Vikings Give Clippers First Loss
Gibraltar beat Sturgeon Bay 2-1 in a Packerland Conference baseball game at Billerbeck Field in Fish Creek on Tuesday. Golf: Sturgeon Bay Wins Again / Heiman Medalist
The Sturgeon Bay golf won their third consecutive Packerland Conference match at the Orchards Golf Course on Monday. The Clippers fired a 169 for the win while Gibraltar was second with a 185 and Sevastopol finished third with a 195. Gibraltar’s Grant Heiman, Sam Potier of Sevastopol and Bryce Hartl and Matt Seiler of Sturgeon Bay all shot a 41 with Heiman earning medalist honors.

Half Marathon Results
On a sunny, windless day perfect for running, Rodee Schneider of Appleton took his first Door County Half Marathon title in Peninsula State Park on Saturday in Fish Creek. Schneider finished in 1:13:31, :32 seconds ahead of Francis Flanagan of Madison.
