8-Man Football Showdown

Gibraltar will play at Sevastopol in a Great 8 North Eight-Man football game at Institute on Friday Night.  After losing their opener to Oakfield, the Vikings (2-0, 2-1) have outscored their opponents 106-12 while the Pioneers (2-0, 3-0) have outscored their opponents 200-16 after scoring 70 points the last two weeks.  Gibraltar has won both meetings between the two teams since the switch to 8-Man football. … Continue reading

The Luxemburg-Casco at Sturgeon Bay soccer match scheduled for Tuesday afternoon has been postponed.  Tuesday morning rains have left the field unplayable.  A makeup date has not been announced.

Eagles Shutout Clippers

Clippers Soccer Gets First Win

The Sturgeon Bay soccer team beat Sheboygan Falls, 6-2, at Clark Field on Thursday.  Jaden Stevenson had 3 goals to lead the Clippers while Levi Haight added 2 goals and Nick Greenlaw 1.  Sturgeon Bay will play Stevens Point today and Kingsford, Michigan and Wausau East on Saturday at a tournament in Rhinelander.

Wolves and Storm Renew Rivalry

NWTF Banquet is Thursday

The Door Peninsula Longbeards hunting heritage banquet is Thursday night at Mr. G’s Logan Creek Grille. The event features raffles, silent auctions and dinner. This is the second year for the event that is part of the National Wild Turkey Federation.  Tickets and table sponsorships are available by calling Tony at 333-0135.  The raffles begin at 5:00 with dinner served at 7:00.

Sawyer Wins DCL Batting Title

Sister Bay’s Tom Sawyer won the Door County League batting title with .440 average.  He totaled a league high 22 hits and scored a league best 20 runs.  The Bays loaded lineup had four of the top seven hitters in the league and also featured a dominant pitcher.  Ryan Demmin worked 117 innings and totaled 177 strikeouts against only 19 walks as Sister Bay put together … Continue reading

Eagles Lose Opener
