Wrestling Sectionals This Weekend

A total of 14 area wrestlers will compete at the WIAA Individual Sectional Tournaments on Saturday.  Southern Door and Luxemburg-Casco are part of the Division 2 Sectional at Oconto Falls (10:30) while Kewaunee will compete at Markesan (10:00).  The top three finishers in each weight class advance to the State Championships in Madison. Clippers Travel to Fish Creek

Strong Finish for Storm

Alexander’s Wins Broomball Championship

Alexander’s beat the Cornerstone Pub in a shootout to win the 2015 Hilander Cup in Sister Bay’s Annual Broomball Tournament last Sunday.  Six teams battled for the championship despite the cold and windy conditions. Alexander’s roster includes Patrick Foy, Mike Jarman, Rick Chomeau, Missy Siebolt, Tony Fisher, Sheena Zielke, Steve Chomeau, Ian Chomeau, Zak Gillis and Mike Jaeckel.

Eagles Rout Tritons

Island Derby Winners Announced

The 38th Annual Lion’s Club Fish Derby finished on Washington Island on Sunday.  No lawyers, whitefish, or walleyes were registered, so the prize money for those species were redistributed to the other categories, raising those prizes. Wolves Conference Winning Streak at 30 Straight
